Description

These Wholesome Chocolate Bliss Balls are a nutritious and delicious no-bake snack made from Medjool dates, raw almonds, cocoa powder, chia seeds, and coconut oil. Naturally sweetened and packed with healthy fats and fiber, they are perfect for a quick energy boost or a guilt-free treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Bliss Balls

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup raw almonds
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Coating

  • Shredded coconut (for rolling)
  • Cacao nibs (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Pulse Dates and Almonds: Place the pitted Medjool dates and raw almonds into a food processor and pulse until they are finely chopped and well combined, forming a sticky base mixture.
  2. Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, chia seeds, coconut oil, and vanilla extract to the food processor. Process again until the mixture becomes sticky and holds together easily when pressed.
  3. Roll into Balls: Using clean hands, scoop and roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Coat (Optional): Roll the bliss balls in shredded coconut or cacao nibs if you desire an extra texture and flavor coating.
  5. Refrigerate: Place the rolled balls on a tray and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow them to firm up and hold their shape.
  6. Store Properly: Transfer the firm bliss balls into an airtight container and store them in the fridge for up to 1 week to maintain freshness and texture.

Notes

  • Ensure dates are soft for easier blending; soak in warm water if dried out.
  • Feel free to substitute almonds with other nuts like walnuts or cashews for different flavors.
  • For a sweeter touch, add a teaspoon of maple syrup or honey if desired.
  • Bliss balls can be frozen for up to 3 months; thaw in refrigerator before serving.
  • This is a no-bake recipe, ideal for quick preparation and healthy snacking.
