- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for roasting the garlic bulb.
- Prepare Garlic: Cut the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves, drizzle the exposed cloves with olive oil, then wrap the bulb tightly in aluminum foil.
- Roast Garlic: Place the wrapped garlic bulb on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 40 minutes until the cloves are soft and golden brown.
- Extract Roasted Garlic: After roasting, allow the garlic bulb to cool enough to handle, then squeeze the softened, roasted garlic cloves out of their skins into a mixing bowl.
- Mix Dip Ingredients: Add the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and lemon juice to the bowl with roasted garlic. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Season: Taste the dip and season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
- Chill: Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld and the dip to firm up.
- Garnish and Serve: Before serving, optionally sprinkle chopped fresh parsley or chives over the top for color and fresh flavor. Serve chilled.
