Description

These no-bake Peanut Butter Bars are a deliciously creamy and crunchy treat made with a graham cracker base, rich peanut butter, and topped with a smooth chocolate layer. Perfect as an easy-to-make dessert or snack, they require minimal prep and no oven time, making them perfect for a quick sweet fix.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base mixture: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, melted unsalted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended, creating the base layer for the bars.
  2. Form the base layer: Evenly press the peanut butter mixture into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Use a spatula to smooth the surface, ensuring an even layer that will set properly.
  3. Melt the chocolate topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, place the semi-sweet chocolate chips along with 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate mixture is fully melted and creamy.
  4. Apply the chocolate layer: Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture evenly over the base layer in the pan. Spread it smoothly to cover the entire surface evenly.
  5. Chill and set: Refrigerate the assembled bars for at least 2 hours to allow the chocolate topping to firm up completely. Once set, cut into 24 squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use a greased pan to easily remove bars after chilling.
  • For a crunchier texture, add chopped peanuts to the base mixture.
  • Store bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
  • These bars do not require baking, making them quick and easy to prepare.
  • Microwave times may vary; stir frequently to avoid overheating the chocolate.
