Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (or melted shortening)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Add the vegetable oil and warm water, then stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 3–4 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rest for 30 minutes.
