Ingredients
Scale
For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Smoky Chipotle Cream Cheese Pasta:
- 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1-2 tablespoons chipotle in adobo sauce, chopped (adjust to your heat preference)
- 1/2 cup milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Steak Bites: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper, then cook in the hot pan until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove steak from the pan and set aside.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Return the steak bites to the pan, toss in the garlic butter sauce, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the steak is cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic for Sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Make Cream Cheese Sauce: Add the cream cheese and chipotle in adobo sauce, stirring until the cream cheese melts and combines with the garlic.
- Add Milk and Parmesan: Slowly add milk (or cream) while stirring until smooth and creamy. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Serve: Divide the pasta into bowls and top with the garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of chipotle in adobo sauce according to your preferred spice level.
- Use heavy cream instead of milk for a richer and creamier pasta sauce.
- Let steak bites rest a few minutes after cooking for juicier meat.
- Fresh cilantro adds a bright, fresh contrast but is optional.
- Pasta types like penne or fettuccine work best to hold the creamy sauce.
