Description

This Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Smoky Chipotle Cream Cheese Pasta recipe combines tender, flavorful sirloin steak bites sautéed in a garlic butter sauce with a rich and smoky chipotle cream cheese pasta for a comforting and indulgent meal perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Smoky Chipotle Cream Cheese Pasta:

  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1-2 tablespoons chipotle in adobo sauce, chopped (adjust to your heat preference)
  • 1/2 cup milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Steak Bites: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper, then cook in the hot pan until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove steak from the pan and set aside.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Return the steak bites to the pan, toss in the garlic butter sauce, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the steak is cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Sauté Garlic for Sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Make Cream Cheese Sauce: Add the cream cheese and chipotle in adobo sauce, stirring until the cream cheese melts and combines with the garlic.
  6. Add Milk and Parmesan: Slowly add milk (or cream) while stirring until smooth and creamy. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency.
  8. Serve: Divide the pasta into bowls and top with the garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of chipotle in adobo sauce according to your preferred spice level.
  • Use heavy cream instead of milk for a richer and creamier pasta sauce.
  • Let steak bites rest a few minutes after cooking for juicier meat.
  • Fresh cilantro adds a bright, fresh contrast but is optional.
  • Pasta types like penne or fettuccine work best to hold the creamy sauce.
