Description

This Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Parmesan Cream Sauce recipe features tender sirloin steak pieces sautéed in rich garlic butter, then coated in a creamy, flavorful Parmesan sauce. Ready in just 25 minutes, it’s a decadent and easy dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions, offering a perfect balance of savory and creamy textures.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp (28g) butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

Parmesan Cream Sauce

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) beef broth
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the steak bites. Generously season the bite-sized sirloin steak pieces with salt and freshly ground black pepper to enhance their flavor before cooking.
  2. Melt butter in skillet. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter until fully melted and hot, preparing it for searing the steak.
  3. Cook the steak bites. Add the seasoned steak pieces to the hot butter and cook, stirring occasionally, until they develop a nice brown crust on all sides, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Remove steak from skillet. Transfer the browned steak bites from the skillet to a plate and set aside to rest while you prepare the sauce.
  5. Sauté garlic. In the same skillet with the butter and steak drippings, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until it’s fragrant but not burnt.
  6. Deglaze skillet with beef broth. Pour in 1/2 cup of beef broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon to lift up the flavorful browned bits left from cooking the steak.
  7. Add cream and Parmesan. Stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese; let the sauce simmer gently, stirring frequently until it thickens to a creamy consistency.
  8. Combine steak with sauce. Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet, tossing them in the Parmesan cream sauce to ensure all the pieces are well coated and heated through.
  9. Garnish and serve. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the steak bites for a fresh burst of color and flavor before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use sirloin or your preferred cut of steak, cut into uniform bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet when cooking steak bites to ensure proper browning.
  • You can substitute beef broth with chicken broth if desired.
  • For a thicker sauce, reduce the cream slightly or allow to simmer a bit longer.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan provides better flavor and melts more smoothly.
  • Serve this dish over mashed potatoes, pasta, or with crusty bread for a complete meal.
