Ingredients
Scale
For the Pineapple Slush
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks, frozen
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1/2 cup cold pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
For the Strawberry Slush
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and frozen
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1/4 cup cold pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Pineapple Slush: Add the frozen pineapple chunks, half of the ice, 1/2 cup of pineapple juice, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/2 tablespoon lime juice to a blender. Blend until smooth and thick, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure an even consistency. Pour the pineapple mixture into a pitcher and place it in the freezer to keep cold while you prepare the next part.
- Prepare the Strawberry Slush: Rinse the blender thoroughly to avoid mixing flavors. Add the frozen strawberries, remaining ice, 1/4 cup pineapple juice, remaining honey, and remaining lime juice to the blender. Blend until smooth and thick, scraping down the sides as necessary.
- Assemble the Slushies: To serve, spoon alternating layers of pineapple and strawberry slush into glasses. Use a spoon or straw to gently swirl the layers together, creating an attractive marbled effect. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- For a sweeter slushie, increase the amount of honey or agave syrup to taste.
- You can substitute the pineapple juice with orange juice or coconut water for a different flavor profile.
- Use fresh frozen fruit to achieve the ideal icy texture without adding extra ice or water.
- Serve immediately as the slushies may melt quickly if left out.
