- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Cook the noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and toss with 1 teaspoon sesame oil to prevent sticking, then set aside.
- Prepare Vegetables: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir-Fry Vegetables: Add sliced bell pepper, snap peas, julienned carrots, and shredded cabbage (if using) to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until vegetables are just tender but still crisp.
- Toss Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet along with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, remaining sesame oil, and chili garlic sauce if using. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated with sauce and heated through.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish. Serve immediately while hot.

- You can add protein like shrimp, chicken, or tofu to turn this into a complete meal.
- If lo mein noodles aren’t available, spaghetti or linguine work as excellent substitutes.
