Ingredients
Scale
For the Coffee Mixture
- 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
For the Cream
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional Ingredients
- 1 pack of Kinder Bueno (about 4-6 bars, depending on size)
- 1 package of ladyfingers (about 24)
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for soaking ladyfingers)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- Prepare the Coffee Mixture: Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. If using coffee liqueur, stir it into the cooled coffee mixture. This will be used to soak the ladyfingers.
- Make the Mascarpone Cream: In a large mixing bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese together with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- Whip the Heavy Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, ensuring a light and airy texture.
- Combine Creams: Gently fold the whipped heavy cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and smooth. Set this mascarpone cream aside.
- Prepare Kinder Bueno: Chop the Kinder Bueno bars into small pieces suitable for layering within the tiramisu.
- Assemble the First Layer: Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the cooled coffee mixture, avoiding oversaturation, and layer them at the bottom of a 9×9-inch or similar sized serving dish.
- Spread Mascarpone Cream: Evenly spread a layer of the mascarpone cream over the soaked ladyfingers.
- Add Kinder Bueno Pieces: Sprinkle a generous handful of chopped Kinder Bueno bars over the cream layer.
- Repeat Layers: Repeat the dipping, layering of ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and Kinder Bueno pieces to create a second layer.
- Dust with Cocoa Powder: After the final layer is assembled, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder for an elegant finishing touch.
- Chill the Tiramisu: Cover the assembled tiramisu with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to firm up.
- Serve: Serve the tiramisu chilled. Optionally, garnish with extra Kinder Bueno pieces or chocolate shavings for added indulgence.
Notes
- Do not soak ladyfingers too long to prevent sogginess; a quick dip is sufficient.
- If you prefer an alcohol-free version, omit the coffee liqueur.
- For easier layering, chop Kinder Bueno into small uniform pieces.
- Chill the tiramisu overnight for best flavor and texture.
- Use freshly brewed strong coffee for a richer coffee flavor.
