For the crust:
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the filling:
- 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree (fresh or thawed frozen strawberries blended smooth)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
For garnish (optional):

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Prepare the crust: Mix chocolate cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- Make the filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Divide the batter, mixing melted chocolate into one half and strawberry puree into the other.
- Assemble: Pour chocolate batter into the crust, then spoon strawberry batter on top. Swirl the batters together.
- Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes until just set. Cool in the oven, then chill for at least 4 hours.
- Garnish and serve: Top with fresh strawberries, chocolate shavings, or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
- For a stronger strawberry flavor, concentrate the puree or reduce it slightly on the stovetop.
- Cheesecake can be made 1–2 days ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
