Description

A creamy and flavorful Chicken Boursin Cheese Pasta dish made with tender chicken, rich Boursin cheese, and a luscious garlic herb sauce, perfectly coating al dente pasta for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)

Chicken and Sauce

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 oz Boursin cheese (garlic & herb flavor)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to be added to the sauce later.
  2. Cook Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the bite-sized chicken pieces, season them with salt and pepper, and cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
  4. Melt Cheese and Add Cream: Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the Boursin cheese and heavy cream, mixing well until the cheese melts and creates a creamy sauce.
  5. Add Pasta and Parmesan: Add the cooked pasta and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Toss everything together thoroughly to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
  6. Season and Taste: Adjust the seasoning by adding more salt and pepper if needed, ensuring balanced flavors.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm for a comforting meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute penne or fusilli pasta with any short pasta of choice.
  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach can add extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Ensure not to overcook the garlic to avoid bitterness.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
