Description

These Buttery Garlic Baked Croissants with Turkey & Havarti are a deliciously savory and slightly sweet sandwich perfect for a quick lunch or elegant brunch. Flaky croissants are filled with creamy Havarti cheese, tender roasted turkey, fresh microgreens, and a delightful combo of apricot jelly and honey mustard. Brushed with garlic butter and topped with Everything Bagel seasoning, then baked to melty perfection and drizzled with honey, these croissants balance flavors beautifully and offer a satisfying treat from the oven.

Ingredients

Scale

Sandwich Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants, sliced
  • 8 slices creamy Havarti cheese
  • 16 slices deli turkey, roasted or smoked
  • ½ cup microgreens

Spreads & Toppings

  • 4 teaspoons apricot jelly or jam
  • 4 teaspoons honey mustard
  • 2 tablespoons melted garlic butter
  • Everything Bagel seasoning, to taste
  • Honey drizzle, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the croissants.
  2. Assemble croissants with spreads. Spread 1 teaspoon of apricot jelly or jam on one half of each croissant and 1 teaspoon of honey mustard on the other half to create a balance of sweet and tangy flavors.
  3. Add fillings. Place 2 slices of creamy Havarti cheese on the apricot jelly side and 4 slices of deli turkey on the honey mustard side of each croissant. Sprinkle microgreens evenly over the turkey halves, then carefully close each sandwich.
  4. Brush and season. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the tops of the croissants with melted garlic butter. Then sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning over the top for an extra burst of savory flavor and texture. Drizzle honey lightly on top to add a subtle sweetness.
  5. Bake the croissants. Arrange the assembled croissants on a baking sheet and bake in your preheated oven for 6-8 minutes, or until the Havarti cheese has melted and the croissants are warmed through and golden on top.
  6. Serve warm. Remove the croissants from the oven and serve immediately while warm to enjoy the gooey cheese and buttery garlic crust at their best.

Notes

  • Use freshly baked croissants for the best flakiness and flavor.
  • Feel free to substitute Havarti cheese with Swiss or Gruyère for a different cheese profile.
  • To reduce sweetness, adjust the amount of honey drizzle or omit if preferred.
  • Everything Bagel seasoning can be replaced with sesame seeds or poppy seeds for a different topping texture.
  • If you want a crispier croissant, bake a few minutes longer but watch carefully to prevent burning.
