Description

This Air Fryer Cheesy Tortilla Garlic Bread is a quick and delicious appetizer that combines crispy tortillas with a flavorful garlic butter spread and a blend of melted cheeses. Perfectly golden and crispy, it’s an easy snack or party starter that you can whip up in just 22 minutes using your air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Cheese Blend

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Other

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Olive oil spray, for cooking

Instructions

  1. Prepare Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Spread Garlic Butter on Tortillas: Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of the garlic butter mixture evenly over one side of each tortilla.
  3. Assemble Cheese Tortilla Stacks: On two of the tortillas, sprinkle the mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the buttered side. Top each with the remaining tortillas, buttered side facing out, to create two quesadilla-style stacks.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for 2 to 3 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  5. Cook Tortilla Stacks: Lightly spray the top of each stack with olive oil spray. Place one stack in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted. Repeat with the second stack.
  6. Serve: Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly. Cut each stack into wedges and serve warm, ideal with marinara or ranch dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Serve with marinara or ranch dipping sauce for extra flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning to the garlic butter for a spicy or herby twist.
  • Substitute with whole wheat or low-carb tortillas to suit dietary preferences.
